Psychedelic consultation & integration
A psychedelic consultation & integration program at Roothwize is a carefully guided one-on-one inward journey. You are offered space to listen to your body, your feelings, your history, and the parts within you that wish to be heard.
Not to “fix” yourself, but to be present with open attention to whatever reveals itself.
Our program
Who is this program for?
This program is for you if you:
• long for healing or deeper insight
• feel stuck in patterns of anxiety, low mood, or control
• wish to restore connection with your feelings, body, or intuition
• are curious about your inner world and the wisdom that lies within
• want to deepen a previous therapeutic process with a psychedelic experience
What does the program look like?
1. Preparatory session
We begin with an in-depth intake and preparation. Together we explore:
- your personal history and current situation,
- themes that are present in your life,
- your intention for the journey,
- your questions, doubts, and expectations.
Together, we assess whether a truffle journey is appropriate and safe for you at this time. We also go through the practical preparation: nutrition, sleep, rest, medication, and planning around the journey day.
2. The psilocybin journey day
The journey day forms the heart of this program. We work with truffle tea, made from fresh psilocybin-containing truffles.
3. Integration sessions
After the journey, integration begins—the period in which insights and experiences continue to unfold in your daily life.
The morning after the journey, we briefly check in together.
The morning after the journey, we attune together to how you are doing and what is needed in that moment. From your experience, we explore which themes and inner parts ask for attention and how you can stay with them in a caring way. We pause to reflect on what helps you land and give meaning to what you have experienced.
In addition, you will receive an integration workbook with exercises and reflections, allowing you to further deepen the experience and support and extend the integration in the period that follows.
A journey generally consists of three phases:
Onset phase (0–60 min)
Your consciousness begins to shift. You may notice different bodily sensations, emotions, or changes in perception.
Peak phase (1–3 hours)
You enter a deepened field of awareness. Memories, inner parts, emotions, and images may arise that wish to communicate something about you.
Closing phase (3–6 hours)
You gradually return to ordinary awareness. We take time to land, rest, and share initial impressions.
During the journey, I guide you with presence, gentleness, and practical tools such as breathing, music, body-oriented exercises, and IFS-informed language. You always determine the pace; nothing is ever forced.
Safety & contraindications
Safety is the foundation of this program. During the intake, we carefully map out your medical and psychological history. When used responsibly, psilocybin is not physically addictive, but it does require a solid container and professional guidance.
A truffle journey is not suitable in cases such as:
- a history of psychosis or bipolar disorder,
- severe depression or unresolved trauma without sufficient inner capacity,
- active addiction-related issues,
- serious cardiovascular disease,
- use of certain medications (including SSRIs, MAO inhibitors, antipsychotics),
- pregnancy or breastfeeding.
Together, we honestly and carefully explore whether this program is right for you at this time.
